Alpenrose

Located on the first floor of Kamikochi Imperial Hotel, Alpenrose is a highly acclaimed Western cuisine restaurant, recognized as a Hyakumeiten (Top 100 Restaurants) for Western cuisine in 2022, 2023, and 2025. While offering a charming atmosphere with beautiful scenery, particularly noted for its traditional Imperial Hotel beef curry and omelette rice, guests frequently comment on the high price point, often describing it as "Imperial Hotel pricing" or "demonic pricing." Lunch is available without reservations, but dinner is generally reserved for hotel guests. The restaurant does not offer private rooms and is entirely non-smoking. Despite the cost, the quality of the dishes is highly praised.
