About this Restaurant

"

Established in 1957, "Kouhikan Benishika" was a long-established coffee shop nestled in Hibiya's theater district, recognized as a "Hyakumeiten" (Top 100 Coffee Shops). It offered a rich menu including pasta, hamburgers, and parfaits, but was most famous for its "Original Pizza Toast," all served in a nostalgic Showa-era retro atmosphere. Sadly, after 69 years of history, it closed its doors in February 2026 and is currently listed as "listing suspended." It was a beloved space full of history and warmth.
